Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, located 16 km or 25' away from Lefkada city. It is also one of the longest beaches, with fine white sand and unique turquoise waters. The beach is surrounded by a green mountain backdrop.

How to Reach Kathisma
Kathisma can be easily accessed by car. There is also a parking area right above the beach. Due to the fact that traffic can get heavy during high season, it could be difficult to find a parking spot. Therefore, it is highly recommended to arrive before noon.

Kathisma is an ideal destination for paragliding. Flying over the beach and enjoying the view to the turqoise blue sea and the green forests of Lefkada is definitely a memorable experience. You can usually book a ride while at the beach.

Safety
On windy days and during afternoon hours, the waves at Kathisma beach can become quite big. For safety reasons, there is a lifeguard on duty. If you come with children, make sure to bring swimming safety equipment.
